What am I worth?

So art is generous, if there isn't a gift it's not art it's commerce, commerce is, I have an English Muffin, you have two dollars, we swap, we're even, no connection is made, I owe you nothing, you owe me nothing. To do art, to be Chuck Close, or Andy Warhol, or someone writing an opera or someone doing great customer service at Zappos. It has to be extra a connection has to be made or it is not art. But if you're generous and giving things that have value often, what you discover is that people, because people are selfish, show up and want more. That's when you get the charge. If you want to own the canvas and control it, that part costs money, if you want me to get on a plane and fly to your conference, that part costs money. If you want me to come to the conference because you're going to sell seats at the conference and that's what you do for a living, that's going to cost you money. But if I go to Acumen fund or some cause I believe in and I can share my gift, of course I'm not going to charge you...
